Worked with his parents at Augusta until 1833, then with brothers until 1837. Worked also as a surveyor in South West. In 1840 leased land at Dunsborough & settled at "Cometville". Sold out his interests & sailed 20-11-1852 per 'Chosen' to Victoria. Moved to various places in Vic. & NSW.
