During his second voyage, he shipped as a boatsteerer aboard the Charles W. Morgan. Years after his death, his journal from this voyage was published under the title Whale Hunt. (Further research is needed, but there’s a very strong probability that this was a different “Captain and Mrs. Haley”)

This photo of Nelson Haley was apparently sent to one of Charlotte’s sisters at some point. It was found in a family album that belonged to Elizabeth Anne (née Heppingstone) Turner in Australia.
